One more week until school (and football season) officially starts. Can't decide which I am more excited about...??? I am a college football fanatic and have a lot to be pumped about as the first game draws near. Coach Kevin Sumlin has our neighbors, the Houston Cougars. primed for making some real noise this year. If you get a chance to catch a game, watch for the noisy little trumpet player in the band that looks like he escaped from the junior high band. That's my son, Cameron. In other college football news, things can only get better for my Fightin' Texas Aggies as they return to the field after one of the most abysmal seasons in many years. Here's hoping Coach Sherman and Ol' Army had a chance to figure it out in the off season.
On the school front, the room is ready. The red carpet is out & the stars are shining. All that is missing is you! I am working hard to plan some fun and challenging activities to keep us all on the edge of our seats. The next few days are full of planning and organizational meetings for your teachers. That is even more reason for us to be so eager to get to the part where we see you.
Thanks to all of the sixth graders and their families who came out for Fish Camp last Thursday. A grand time was had by all. I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jesus & Michael B. who were my eighth grade leaders. You gentlemen had your hands full with a very quiet and reserved group. But, in the end, you showed 'em where it's at! You gentlemen are real asset to PCMS & you made me really proud! Thank you, again, for your time, effort, enthusiasm, leadership, & pride!
Quick reminder, summer reading assignments are due on Wednesday, August 26th.
See you on Monday!

Your room looks great and we both share an equal passion for football season (though our tastes are just a bit off...).
